…16 month old headline aside, Yes, a “a technologically advanced, prosperous and powerful African nation” is hard to imagine - as Europeans of some shade or another have messed with pretty much everyone.
Thor’s world - Asgard as envisioned in the movie - has the advantage of resets - its history only goes so far back. A set power structure. Central city planning. It’s a lot easier to get away with a cohesive design for a whole city.
Wakanda would have more history - and none (or very little) of that history being Egyptian, and none (or very little) of it being European. What would a 10,000 year old country look like? I hardly know what a 500 year old country looks like. Just that is a huge thing to address, esp. if its mostly addressed in the background [I.E. not Dune].
